Snow Research

When I get an itch, I tend to research a shitload.  So in my previous post I mentioned that some of my gear was showing some age, therefore I went into research mode and found some sexy looking snow clothes that makes me want to put myself into further debt.

I’ve decided to look exclusively at burton’s lineup of gear because simply put whenever I’m on the slopes and I see something that looks clean and fresh looking, 9 times out of 10 it’s burton gear.  It’s the nike brand of snowboard apparel, so you can’t really go wrong, but I’ll be gouged a bit on price.  I’ll just keep a lookout for a sale muahahaha.

Begin!

Burton Notch Jacket:  When I’m looking for a jacket I like to get something that will keep me warm no matter what I wear underneath.  I don’t like to layer so I like a jacket that can provide a ton of warmth, unfortunately more warmth = more material = more expensive.

In comes the Notch Jacket by Burton.  It falls in the range of “will definitely keep you warm, but won’t drain your funds.”  On top of that it comes with the same sexy features I believe all jackets should have:  snow skirts, sound pockets for mp3 players, etc etc, just click the link.

Now sizing is sort of a big thing, normally I’m a medium, but snow jackets run a little big, so I might check out a size S.  I don’t like the baggy fit any longer and I feel a tailored fit looks sleeker.  Therefore, I’ll probably be looking at a small and the color I like is called “Seersucker”

I love a simple look and burton’s That Pant Slim is perfect.  On top of that, the slim look gives the impression of regular looking pants, which I love.  These pants are ideal and I’m definitely making them my next snow purchase considering that my pants are, while still serviceable, are definitely past its time.

Preferably, a size Medium, and in black!

New gloves!  In this case, MITTS!  I love mitts compared to gloves.  When my fingers are separated in a glove sometimes they just feel lonely, having mitts mean they get to stay together and toasty.  The Approach Under mitt is more my style, because I’m not that much of a fan of a gauntlet that flares off your wrist, instead I like the low profile of the “under” style which means its meant to be tucked under your jacket cuffs.

I’m not gonna just limit myself to this brand, but for the sake of keeping style together, I put these down.  However, if I catch sight of a particular style from another brand, you bet your sweet ass I’m going to give it a hard look.

If you guys have any suggestions, please hit me up with them!
